Camp Sunshine in Casco, Maine allows children who are sick to experience a week long camp with their family in Maine.
I would like to sponsor a family/or families to participate in the week long program at Camp Sunshine and need your help in donating.
Families with a child diagnosed with disease such as cancer, kidney disease, organ transplants and other life threatening illnesses attend a week long camp. Their focus is to alleviate the strain that a life threatening illness takes not only on the sick child but also the family members. Families have an opportunity to rebuild their relationships together and meet other families facing similar challenges.
Services at the Camp include accommodations and meals, onsite medical services, counseling services and recreational facilities. Recreational hours allow children to relax and enjoy the simple pleasures of childhood. When camp is in session, each family stays in their own family suite. All meals are served each day.
